API-certified Catalys Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) helps you meet current environmental standards for diesel engine emissions. Blended with 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water, this additive significantly reduces particulates, sulphur, and nitrogen oxides (NOx).
Extra Information
This aqueous urea solution DEF meets the ISO 22241 quality standard. It’s designed to work in machinery with in-demand SCR catalytic converters, which can add the extra benefit of fuel savings.
DEF Facts:
- Composed of 32.5% Aqueous Urea Solution (ammonia) in demineralized water
- May have a slightly pungent odour similar to ammonia
- DEF consumption = approximately 2% of fuel consumption
- DEF is non-toxic, non-polluting and non-flammable
- DEF Does Freeze at 11 degrees F, and it may need to be stored inside or in heated storage units.
- DEF is not damaged or destroyed when it is frozen, and it can be thawed and used.
- Meets ISO 22241 standard
Safe Use and Storage
- Keep solution container closed when not in use.
- Do not discharge into the environment.
- Used products and containers should be taken to an authorized collection point.
- Like any DEF, this product should be kept out of reach of children and animals
