The Scotty 8 GPM Foam Applicator Kit is an attachment threaded to work with the GHT male end of ¾" garden or forestry hoses. It's a great emergency solution for farms, cabins, campgrounds, parks, or anywhere else where limited access to water is an issue.

The kit includes an air aspirating foam nozzle, bail shut off and tee that connects to a 5-litre (1.3 gallon) container you can fill with Class A foam concentrates (sold separately). These applicators serve well in areas where there is a limited water supply.
When used correctly, foam can extend your water usage 10-fold. Operating at 40 PSI or greater pressure, this applicator sprays at a rate of eight gallons per minute. The foam mixes with the flowing water, creating what is known as “wetter water” - a mix that can seal off fire’s oxygen supply, rather than just evaporating.
Class A foam mixes are effective for fighting fires fueled by combustible materials like wood, these include wildfires and structural fires. Fires fueled by ignitable fluids require Class B foam. Class A foams can work their way into woodgrains, so they can be useful as a pre-treatment for homes at risk during wildfire season.
